It was nice to be walking around in nature with a friend. Although DPNC provides a map online and at the Nature Center, it is not 100% accurate. We followed the red trail on the left behind the Nature Center to the white trail. We wanted to go to the orange trail, but had to backtrack to the shortcut because the route was not cleared. We also wanted to get to the pond across the street on the orange trail, but we could not find the entrance. We went around the other side of the orange loop, and then white. We ended up taking some shortcut on accident, which led to the red loop. We then took the red loop to the left, which led us out to a field shortly then back into the woods. This took a little over an hour.
There are definitely many routes one can take. Although the map and trails were confusing, it was beautiful out there. However, I don’t plan to return to the trails because of the inconsistency.
And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants[a] yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.
Genesis 1:11 (The Holy Bible ESV)
