My experience: Thursday, October 15, 2020
Overall, it was a very nice, easy, and peaceful hike with a fantastic view at the top. It took about 15 minutes to reach the viewpoint.
The road that leads to the trail is a gravel and bumpy road. I drove a Toyota Corolla and it made it just fine at this time of year. Follow the road to the end and through the gate into the small parking lot. There will be signs directing you. It seems like parking near driveways is frowned upon.
The main trail to the viewpoint is obvious and there are signs to point the way. There are various other trails, but I don’t know where they go. According to the website, I think there is an additional one that leads to the viewpoint making a loop. I followed the AllTrails map.
I hiked in the early afternoon and I was the only one on the trail. The end of the trail leads to a bench at the top of the hill. There is a 180 degree view there. It’s just beautiful!
…it was historically used for wood lots and hunting.
